² The word of the Lord came^(A) to him in the thirteenth year of the reign of Josiah^(B) son of Amon king of Judah, ³ and through the reign of Jehoiakim^(C) son of Josiah king of Judah, down to the fifth month of the eleventh year of Zedekiah^(D) son of Josiah king of Judah, when the people of Jerusalem went into exile.^(E)

³ For twenty-three years—from the thirteenth year of Josiah^(A) son of Amon king of Judah until this very day—the word of the Lord has come to me and I have spoken to you again and again,^(B) but you have not listened.^(C)
