GOD’S WORD Translation
21 Then my arrangement with my servant David could be broken, and he would not have a descendant to rule on his throne. The arrangement with my servants the Levitical priests could also be broken. 22 I will multiply the descendants of my servant David and the Levites who serve me like the stars of heaven that cannot be counted and the sand on the seashore that cannot be measured.”
23 Then the Lord spoke his word to Jeremiah. He said,

21 then my covenant(A) with David my servant—and my covenant with the Levites(B) who are priests ministering before me—can be broken and David will no longer have a descendant to reign on his throne.(C) 22 I will make the descendants of David my servant and the Levites who minister before me as countless(D) as the stars in the sky and as measureless as the sand on the seashore.’”
