“O (A)Hope of Israel,
Its (B)Savior in (C)time of distress,
Why are You like a stranger in the land
Or like a traveler who has pitched his tent for the night?
“Why are You like a man dismayed,
Like a mighty man who (D)cannot save?
Yet (E)You are in our midst, O Lord,
And we are (F)called by Your name;
Do not forsake us!”

10 Thus says the Lord to this people, “Even so they have (G)loved to wander; they have not (H)kept their feet in check. Therefore the Lord does (I)not accept them; now He will (J)remember their iniquity and call their sins to account.”

    like a warrior powerless to save?(D)
You are among(E) us, Lord,

10 This is what the Lord says about this people:

“They greatly love to wander;
    they do not restrain their feet.(H)
So the Lord does not accept(I) them;
    he will now remember(J) their wickedness
    and punish them for their sins.”(K)
