²⁷ Do not ^(A)work for the food that perishes, but for the food that lasts for ^(B)eternal life, which ^(C)the Son of Man will give you, for on Him the Father, God, ^(D)has set His ^[a]seal.” ²⁸ Therefore they said to Him, “What are we to do, so that we may accomplish the works of God?”

²² who also ^(A)sealed us and ^(B)gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a ^[a]pledge.

¹² Not that I have already ^[a](A)grasped it all or have already ^(B)become perfect, but I press on if I may also ^(C)take hold of that ^[b]for which I ^(D)was even taken hold of by ^(E)Christ Jesus. ¹³ Brothers and sisters, I do not regard myself as having taken hold of it yet; but one thing I do: ^(F)forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, ¹⁴ I ^(G)press on toward the goal for the prize of the ^(H)upward call of God in ^(I)Christ Jesus.
