² ‘I will go before you
^(A)And^[a] make the ^[b]crooked places straight;
^(B)I will break in pieces the gates of bronze
And cut the bars of iron.

¹² For ^(A)you shall not go out with haste,
Nor go by flight;
^(B)For the Lord will go before you,
^(C)And the God of Israel will be your rear guard.

^8 (A)Then your light shall break forth like the morning,
Your healing shall spring forth speedily,
And your righteousness shall go before you;
^(B)The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.
