Isaiah 44:4-6

⁴They shall spring up like grass amid waters,^[a]
    like willows by flowing streams.
⁵This one will say, ‘I am the Lord’s,’
    another will call himself by the name of Jacob,
and another will write on his hand, ‘The Lord’s,’
    and surname himself by the name of Israel.”

⁶Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel
and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts:
“I am the first and I am the last;
besides me there is no god.
