18 So He will repay according to their deeds:(A)
fury to His enemies,
retribution to His foes,
and He will repay the coastlands.
19 They will fear the name of Yahweh in the west
and His glory in the east;(B)
for He will come like a rushing stream(C)
driven by the wind of the Lord.
20 “The Redeemer(D) will come to Zion,
and to those in Jacob who turn from transgression.”(E)
This is the Lord’s declaration.

18 According to what they have done,
so will he repay(A)
wrath to his enemies
and retribution to his foes;
he will repay the islands(B) their due.
19 From the west,(C) people will fear the name of the Lord,
and from the rising of the sun,(D) they will revere his glory.(E)
For he will come like a pent-up flood
that the breath(F) of the Lord drives along.[a]
