¹⁰ Behold, ^(A)I have refined you, but not as silver;
I have tested you in the ^(B)furnace of affliction.

⁹ I will bring the one-third ^(A)through the fire,
Will ^(B)refine them as silver is refined,
And test them as gold is tested.
^(C)They will call on My name,
And I will answer them.
^(D)I will say, ‘This is My people’;
And each one will say, ‘The Lord is my God.’ ”

^3 (A)He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver;
He will purify the sons of Levi,
And ^[a]purge them as gold and silver,
That they may ^(B)offer to the Lord
An offering in righteousness.
