I am the First and the Last

This is what the Lord says, the King of Israel
    and its Redeemer—
        the Lord of the Heavenly Armies is his name—[a]
“I am the first and I am the last,
    and apart from me there is no God.
Who is like me? Let him proclaim
    and declare it, and lay it out for himself—[b]
since he made[c] an ancient people.
    And let him speak[d] future events;
        let them tell him what[e] will happen.

The Lord, Not Idols

“This is what the Lord says—
    Israel’s King(D) and Redeemer,(E) the Lord Almighty:

Who then is like me?(H) Let him proclaim it.
    Let him declare and lay out before me
what has happened since I established my ancient people,
    and what is yet to come—
    yes, let them foretell(I) what will come.
