Isaiah 40:9-11
New American Standard Bible
9 Go up on a (A)high mountain,
Zion, messenger of (B)good news,
Raise your voice forcefully,
Jerusalem, messenger of good news;
Raise it up, do not fear.
Say to the (C)cities of Judah,
“(D)Here is your God!”
10 Behold, the Lord [a]God will come (E)with might,
With His (F)arm ruling for Him.
Behold, His (G)compensation is with Him,
And His reward before Him.
11 Like a shepherd He will (H)tend His flock,
In His arm He will gather the lambs
And carry them in the fold of His robe;
He will gently lead the nursing ewes.

Restoration of Jacob
18 “This is what the Lord says:
‘Behold, I will (A)restore the fortunes of the tents of Jacob
And (B)have compassion on his dwellings;
And the (C)city will be rebuilt on its ruins,
And the (D)palace will stand on its rightful place.
19 From them will come a (E)song of thanksgiving
And the voices of those who [a](F)celebrate;
And I will (G)multiply them and they will not decrease;
