12 You will say on that day:
“I will give thanks to you, O Lord,
    for though you were angry with me,
your anger turned away,
    and you comforted me.^(A)

³¹ Wail, O gate; cry, O city;
    melt in fear, O Philistia, all of you!
For smoke comes out of the north,
    and there is no straggler in its ranks.^(A)

¹⁸ Violence shall no more be heard in your land,
    devastation or destruction within your borders;
you shall call your walls Salvation
    and your gates Praise.^(A)
