30 And the Lord will cause [a]His voice of authority to be heard,
And the [b]descending of His arm to be seen in fierce anger,
And in the flame of a consuming fire
In cloudburst, downpour, and hailstones.
31 For (A)at the voice of the Lord (B)Assyria will be terrified,
When He strikes with the (C)rod.
32 And every [c]blow of the [d](D)rod of punishment,
Which the Lord will lay on him,
Will be with the music of (E)tambourines and lyres;
And in battles, (F)brandishing weapons, He will fight them.
33 For [e](G)Topheth has long been ready,
Indeed, it has been prepared for the king.
He has made it deep and large,
[f]A pyre of fire with plenty of wood;
The (H)breath of the Lord, like a torrent of (I)brimstone, sets it afire.

Its fire pit has been made deep and wide,
    with an abundance of fire and wood;
the breath(M) of the Lord,
    like a stream of burning sulfur,(N)
