Isaiah 25:2-4
Easy-to-Read Version
2 And you destroyed the city that was protected by strong walls.
Now it is only a pile of rocks.
The foreign palace has been destroyed.
It will never be rebuilt.
3 That is why powerful nations will honor you.
Powerful people from strong cities will fear you.
4 You have been a safe place for poor people in trouble.
You are like a shelter from floods and shade from the heat
when powerful men attack.
They are like rain streaming down the walls
that protect us from the storm.
Isaiah 25:2-4

the fortified(B) town a ruin,(C)
the foreigners’ stronghold(D) a city no more;
it will never be rebuilt.(E)
3 Therefore strong peoples will honor you;(F)
cities of ruthless(G) nations will revere you.
4 You have been a refuge(H) for the poor,(I)
a refuge for the needy(J) in their distress,
a shelter from the storm(K)
