23 “I will also make it a possession for the (A)hedgehog and swamps of water, and I will sweep it with the broom of (B)destruction,” declares the Lord of hosts.

Judgment on Assyria

24 The Lord of hosts has sworn saying, “Surely, (C)just as I have intended so it has happened, and just as I have planned so it will stand, 25 to (D)break Assyria in My land, and I will trample him on My mountains. Then his (E)yoke will be removed from them and his burden removed from their shoulder.

23 “I will turn her into a place for owls(A)
    and into swampland;
I will sweep her with the broom of destruction,(B)”
    declares the Lord Almighty.(C)

24 The Lord Almighty has sworn,(D)

“Surely, as I have planned,(E) so it will be,
    and as I have purposed, so it will happen.(F)
25 I will crush the Assyrian(G) in my land;
    on my mountains I will trample him down.
His yoke(H) will be taken from my people,
    and his burden removed from their shoulders.(I)”
