Hebrews 9:18-22

¹⁸ Therefore not even the first covenant was inaugurated without blood. ¹⁹ For when every commandment had been ^(A)spoken by Moses to all the people according to the Law, ^(B)he took the ^(C)blood of the calves and the goats, with ^(D)water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both ^(E)the book itself and all the people, ²⁰ saying, “^(F)This is the blood of the covenant which God commanded you.” ²¹ And in the same way, both the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry he ^(G)sprinkled with the blood. ²² And according to the ^[a]Law, one may ^(H)almost say, all things are cleansed with blood, and ^(I)without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
