²⁵ Therefore he is able to save^(A) completely^[a] those who come to God^(B) through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.^(C)

¹³ And you also were included in Christ^(A) when you heard the message of truth,^(B) the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal,^(C) the promised Holy Spirit,^(D)

²⁵ Since we live by the Spirit,^(A) let us keep in step with the Spirit.

³⁰ And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God,^(A) with whom you were sealed^(B) for the day of redemption.^(C)

⁴ You, dear children,^(A) are from God and have overcome them,^(B) because the one who is in you^(C) is greater than the one who is in the world.^(D)

¹⁰ For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”^(A)

⁶ But I want you to know that the Son of Man^(A) has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the paralyzed man, “Get up, take your mat and go home.” ⁷ Then the man got up and went home. ⁸ When the crowd saw this, they were filled with awe; and they praised God,^(B) who had given such authority to man.

Faith in Action

11 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for^(A) and assurance about what we do not see.^(B)

³⁸ how God anointed^(A) Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing^(B) all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.^(C)
