⁴^(A) In fact, somewhere the Scriptures say that by the seventh day, God had finished his work, and so he rested.

Hebrews 4:4

New International Version

⁴For somewhere he has spoken about the seventh day in these words: “On the seventh day God rested from all his works.”^[a]^(A)

¹⁰^(A) On that day God's people will rest from their work, just as God rested from his work.

¹⁰for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works,^[a]^(A) just as God did from his.^(B)
