¹² See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.^{(A) 13} But encourage one another daily,^(B) as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.^(C)

²⁴ And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds,^{(A) 25} not giving up meeting together,^(B) as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another^(C)—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.^(D)

Praise to the God of All Comfort

³ Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,^(A) the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, ⁴ who comforts us^(B) in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. ⁵ For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ,^(C) so also our comfort abounds through Christ.

³² Be kind and compassionate to one another,^(A) forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.^(B)

¹⁴ And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle^(A) and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak,^(B) be patient with everyone. ¹⁵ Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong,^(C) but always strive to do what is good for each other^(D) and for everyone else.

⁹ Let us not become weary in doing good,^(A) for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.^{(B) 10} Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good^(C) to all people, especially to those who belong to the family^(D) of believers.
