Hebrews 2:15-17

15 and free those who through (A)fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives. 16 For clearly He does not [a]give help to angels, but He gives help to the [b]descendants of Abraham. 17 Therefore, in all things He [c]had (B)to be made like His brothers so that He might (C)become a merciful and faithful (D)high priest in (E)things pertaining to God, to (F)make [d]propitiation for the sins of the people.

15 and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear(A) of death. 16 For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham’s descendants.(B) 17 For this reason he had to be made like them,[a](C) fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful(D) and faithful high priest(E) in service to God,(F) and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people.(G)
