Hebrews 12:9-15
New American Standard Bible
9 Furthermore, we had [a]earthly fathers to discipline us, and we (A)respected them; shall we not much more be subject to (B)the Father of [b]spirits, and (C)live? 10 For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them, but He disciplines us for our good, (D)so that we may share His holiness. 11 (E)For the moment, all discipline seems not to be pleasant, but painful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterward it yields the (F)peaceful fruit of righteousness.
12 Therefore, [c](G)strengthen the hands that are weak and the knees that are feeble, 13 and (H)make straight paths for your feet, so that the limb which is impaired may not be dislocated, but rather (I)be healed.
14 (J)Pursue peace with all people, and the (K)holiness without which no one will (L)see the Lord. 15 See to it that no one (M)comes short of the grace of God; that no (N)root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many become (O)defiled;

Hebrews 12:9-15
New International Version
9 Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits(A) and live!(B) 10 They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness.(C) 11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace(D) for those who have been trained by it.
12 Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees.(E) 13 “Make level paths for your feet,”[a](F) so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.(G)
