² In these last days,^(A) He has spoken to us by His Son. God has appointed Him heir of all things and made the universe^[a](B) through Him.

¹⁰ For in bringing many sons to glory, it was entirely appropriate that God—all things exist for Him and through Him—should make the source^[a] of their salvation perfect through sufferings.^(A)

² He is able to deal gently with those who are ignorant and are going astray, since he is also subject to weakness.^(A)

⁹ After He was perfected, He became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey Him,
