8 Mine is the silver, mine is the gold,
says the Lord of hosts.
9 The glory of this new house
will surpass that of the former,
says the Lord of hosts.
And in this place I will grant peace,
says the Lord of hosts.
What They Offer Me Is Unclean[a]
10 On the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, in the second year of King Darius, the word of the Lord came to the prophet Haggai.

8 ‘The silver is mine and the gold(A) is mine,’ declares the Lord Almighty. 9 ‘The glory(B) of this present house(C) will be greater than the glory of the former house,’ says the Lord Almighty. ‘And in this place I will grant peace,(D)’ declares the Lord Almighty.”
