8 The silver is mine and the gold is mine, declares the Lord of Armies. 9 The glory of this second house will be greater than that of the first one,[a] says the Lord of Armies. For in this place I will provide peace, declares the Lord of Armies.

- Haggai 2:9 The first house was the temple built by Solomon, which had been destroyed in 586 bc. The second house is the temple that was being built by Zerubbabel. This second temple would become the temple Jesus would enter.

8 ‘The silver is mine and the gold(A) is mine,’ declares the Lord Almighty. 9 ‘The glory(B) of this present house(C) will be greater than the glory of the former house,’ says the Lord Almighty. ‘And in this place I will grant peace,(D)’ declares the Lord Almighty.”
