³⁶ Both of Lot’s daughters became pregnant. Their father was the father of their babies. ³⁷ The older daughter gave birth to a son. She named him Moab.^[a] Moab is the ancestor of all the Moabites living today. ³⁸ The younger daughter also gave birth to a son. She named him Ben-Ammi.^[b] Ben-Ammi is the ancestor of all the Ammonites living today.
