There were [a]giants on the earth in those (A)days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.

Then [b]the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every (B)intent[c] of the thoughts of his heart was only evil [d]continually. And (C)the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and (D)He was grieved in His (E)heart. So the Lord said, “I will (F)destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.” But Noah (G)found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

When the Lord saw that man’s wickedness was widespread on the earth and that every scheme his mind thought of was nothing but evil all the time,(A) the Lord regretted that He had made man on the earth,(B) and He was grieved in His heart. Then the Lord said, “I will wipe off from the face of the earth mankind, whom I created, together with the animals, creatures that crawl, and birds of the sky—for I regret that I made them.” Noah, however, found favor in the sight of the Lord.(C)
