Abraham and the Covenant of Circumcision

17 Now when Abram was ninety-nine years old, ^(A)the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him,

⁴⁰ And he said to me, ‘^(A)The Lord, before whom I have ^(B)walked, will send ^(C)His angel with you to make your journey successful, and you will take a wife for my son from my relatives and from my father’s house;

¹⁵ And he blessed Joseph, and said,

^6 [a](A)True instruction was in his mouth and injustice was not found on his lips; he walked ^(B)with Me in peace and justice, and he ^(C)turned many back from wrongdoing.

¹² so that you would ^(A)walk in a manner worthy of the God who ^(B)calls you into His own kingdom and ^(C)glory.
