^7 (A)If you do well, ^[a]will your face not be ^[b]cheerful? ^(B)And if you do not do well, sin is lurking at the door; and its desire is for you, ^(C)but you must master it.”

¹⁸ You shall do what is right and good in the sight of the Lord, so that ^(A)it may go well for you and that you may go in and take possession of the good land which the Lord swore to give your fathers,

²² But ^(A)the fruit of the Spirit is ^(B)love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

⁷ Remember ^(A)those who led you, who spoke ^(B)the word of God to you; and considering the ^[a]result of their way of life, ^(C)imitate their faith. ^8 (D)Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, and forever. ^9 (E)Do not be misled by varied and strange teachings; for it is good for the heart to ^(F)be strengthened by grace, not by ^(G)foods, ^(H)through which those who ^[b]were so occupied were not benefited.
