²⁴But God came to Laban the Aramean in a dream by night and said to him, “Take heed that you say not a word to Jacob, either good or bad.”^(A)

Genesis 31:24

New International Version

²⁴Then God came to Laban the Aramean^(A) in a dream at night and said to him,^(B) “Be careful not to say anything to Jacob, either good or bad.”^(C)

⁵³May the God of Abraham and the God of Nahor^[a] judge between us.” So Jacob swore by the Fear of his father Isaac,^(A)

⁵³May the God of Abraham^(A) and the God of Nahor,^(B) the God of their father, judge between us.”^(C)

So Jacob took an oath^(D) in the name of the Fear of his father Isaac.^(E)
