25 Then he said, “My son, bring me some of your game to eat, so that I may give you my blessing.”(A)

Jacob brought it to him and he ate; and he brought some wine and he drank. 26 Then his father Isaac said to him, “Come here, my son, and kiss me.”

27 So he went to him and kissed(B) him(C). When Isaac caught the smell of his clothes,(D) he blessed him and said,

“Ah, the smell of my son
    is like the smell of a field
    that the Lord has blessed.(E)
28 May God give you heaven’s dew(F)
    and earth’s richness(G)
    an abundance of grain(H) and new wine.(I)
29 May nations serve you
    and peoples bow down to you.(J)
Be lord over your brothers,
    and may the sons of your mother bow down to you.(K)
May those who curse you be cursed
    and those who bless you be blessed.(L)

26 And his father Isaac said unto him, Come near now, and kiss me, my son.

27 And he came near, and kissed him: and he smelled the smell of his raiment, and blessed him, and said, See, the smell of my son is as the smell of a field which the Lord hath blessed:

28 Therefore God give thee of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of corn and wine:

29 Let people serve thee, and nations bow down to thee: be lord over thy brethren, and let thy mother's sons bow down to thee: cursed be every one that curseth thee, and blessed be he that blesseth thee.
