18 to Avraham as his possession in the presence of the sons of Het who belonged to the ruling council of the city.
19 Then Avraham buried Sarah his wife in the cave of the field of Makhpelah, by Mamre, also known as Hevron, in the land of Kena‘an. 20 The field and its cave had been purchased by Avraham from the sons of Het as a burial-site which would belong to him.

18 to Abraham as his property(A) in the presence of all the Hittites(B) who had come to the gate(C) of the city. 19 Afterward Abraham buried his wife Sarah in the cave in the field of Machpelah(D) near Mamre (which is at Hebron(E)) in the land of Canaan.(F) 20 So the field and the cave in it were deeded(G) to Abraham by the Hittites as a burial site.(H)
