Genesis 11:8-10

8 So the Lord scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth, and they left off building the city. 9 Therefore its name was called Babel, because there the Lord confused[a] the language of all the earth; and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of all the earth.

New International Version
8 So the Lord scattered them from there over all the earth,(A) and they stopped building the city. 9 That is why it was called Babel[a](B)—because there the Lord confused the language(C) of the whole world.(D) From there the Lord scattered(E) them over the face of the whole earth.
