6 And God said, Let there be a [a]firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. 7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. 8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day.

6 And God said,(A) “Let there be a vault(B) between the waters(C) to separate water from water.” 7 So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it.(D) And it was so.(E) 8 God called(F) the vault “sky.”(G) And there was evening, and there was morning(H)—the second day.
