¹⁴ And God said, “Let there be lights^(A) in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night,^(B) and let them serve as signs^(C) to mark sacred times,^(D) and days and years,^(E)

¹⁶ God made two great lights—the greater light^(A) to govern^(B) the day and the lesser light to govern^(C) the night.^(D) He also made the stars.^(E)

¹⁹ And there was evening, and there was morning^(A)—the fourth day.
