²¹ When the Lord smelled the pleasing aroma,^(A) He said to Himself, “I will never again curse the ground^(B) because of man, even though man’s inclination is evil from his youth.^(C) And I will never again strike down every living thing as I have done.^(D)

²⁵ Take them from their hands and burn them on the altar on top of the burnt offering, as a pleasing aroma before the Lord; it is a fire offering to the Lord.

¹³ But he is to wash the entrails and shanks with water. The priest will then present all of it and burn it on the altar; it is a burnt offering, a fire offering of a pleasing aroma to the Lord.

³ and you make a fire offering to the Lord from the herd or flock—either a burnt offering or a sacrifice, to fulfill a vow,^(A) or as a freewill offering, or at your appointed festivals—to produce a pleasing aroma for the Lord,
