Galatians 4:28-31

²⁸Now ^(A)we, brethren, as Isaac was, are ^(B)children of promise. ²⁹But, as ^(C)he who was born according to the flesh then persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, ^(D)even so it is now. ³⁰Nevertheless what does ^(E)the Scripture say? ^(F)“Cast out the bondwoman and her son, for ^(G)the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.” ³¹So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman but of the free.

²⁸Now you, brothers and sisters, like Isaac, are children of promise.^(A) ²⁹At that time the son born according to the flesh^(B) persecuted the son born by the power of the Spirit.^(C) It is the same now. ³⁰But what does Scripture say? “Get rid of the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman’s son.”^[a]^(D) ³¹Therefore, brothers and sisters, we are not children of the slave woman,^(E) but of the free woman.^(F)
