Galatians 3:6-9

New International Version

⁶So also Abraham “believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”^[a]^(A)

⁷Understand, then, that those who have faith^(B) are children of Abraham.^(C) ⁸Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you.”^[b]^(D) ⁹So those who rely on faith^(E) are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.^(F)

⁶In the same way, “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.”^[a] ⁷The real children of Abraham, then, are those who put their faith in God.

⁸What’s more, the Scriptures looked forward to this time when God would make the Gentiles right in his sight because of their faith. God proclaimed this good news to Abraham long ago when he said, “All nations will be blessed through you.”^[b] ⁹So all who put their faith in Christ share the same blessing Abraham received because of his faith.
