Ezra 9:13-14
King James Version
13 And after all that is come upon us for our evil deeds, and for our great trespass, seeing that thou our God hast punished us less than our iniquities deserve, and hast given us such deliverance as this;
14 Should we again break thy commandments, and join in affinity with the people of these abominations? wouldest not thou be angry with us till thou hadst consumed us, so that there should be no remnant nor escaping?

13 “What has happened to us is a result of our evil(A) deeds and our great guilt, and yet, our God, you have punished us less than our sins deserved(B) and have given us a remnant like this. 14 Shall we then break your commands again and intermarry(C) with the peoples who commit such detestable practices? Would you not be angry enough with us to destroy us,(D) leaving us no remnant(E) or survivor?
