38 Y había allí una cámara, y su puerta con postes de portales; allí lavarán el holocausto. 39 Y en la entrada de la puerta había dos mesas a un lado, y otras dos al otro, para degollar sobre ellas el holocausto y la expiación y el sacrificio por el pecado. 40 A un lado, por fuera de las gradas, a la entrada de la puerta del norte, había dos mesas; y al otro lado que estaba a la entrada de la puerta, dos mesas. 41 Cuatro mesas a un lado, y cuatro mesas al otro lado, junto a la puerta; ocho mesas, sobre las cuales degollarán las víctimas. 42 Las cuatro mesas para el holocausto eran de piedra labrada, de un codo y medio de longitud, y codo y medio de ancho, y de un codo de altura; sobre estas pondrán los utensilios con que degollarán el holocausto y el sacrificio. 43 Y adentro, ganchos, de un palmo menor, dispuestos en derredor; y sobre las mesas la carne de las víctimas.

44 Y fuera de la puerta interior, en el atrio de adentro que estaba al lado de la puerta del norte, estaban las cámaras de los cantores, las cuales miraban hacia el sur; una estaba al lado de la puerta del oriente que miraba hacia el norte. 45 Y me dijo: Esta cámara que mira hacia el sur es de los sacerdotes que hacen la guardia del templo. 46 Y la cámara que mira hacia el norte es de los sacerdotes que hacen la guardia del altar; estos son los hijos de Sadoc, los cuales son llamados de los hijos de Leví para ministrar a Jehová. 47 Y midió el atrio, cien codos de longitud, y cien codos de anchura; era cuadrado; y el altar estaba delante de la casa.

48 Y me llevó al pórtico del templo, y midió cada poste del pórtico, cinco codos de un lado, y cinco codos de otro; y la anchura de la puerta tres codos de un lado, y tres codos de otro. 49 La longitud del pórtico, veinte codos, y el ancho once codos, al cual subían por gradas; y había columnas junto a los postes, una de un lado, y otra de otro.

41 Me introdujo luego en el templo, y midió los postes, siendo el ancho seis codos de un lado, y seis codos de otro, que era el ancho del tabernáculo. 2 El ancho de la puerta era de diez codos, y los lados de la puerta, de cinco codos de un lado, y cinco del otro. Y midió su longitud, de cuarenta codos, y la anchura de veinte codos. 3 Y pasó al interior, y midió cada poste de la puerta, de dos codos; y la puerta, de seis codos; y la anchura de la entrada, de siete codos. 4 Midió también su longitud, de veinte codos, y la anchura de veinte codos, delante del templo; y me dijo: Este es el lugar santísimo.

5 Después midió el muro de la casa, de seis codos; y de cuatro codos la anchura de las cámaras, en torno de la casa alrededor. 6 Las cámaras laterales estaban sobrepuestas unas a otras, treinta en cada uno de los tres pisos; y entraban modillones en la pared de la casa alrededor, sobre los que estribasen las cámaras, para que no estribasen en la pared de la casa. 7 Y había mayor anchura en las cámaras de más arriba; la escalera de caracol de la casa subía muy alto alrededor por dentro de la casa; por tanto, la casa tenía más anchura arriba. Del piso inferior se podía subir al de en medio, y de este al superior. 8 Y miré la altura de la casa alrededor; los cimientos de las cámaras eran de una caña entera de seis codos largos. 9 El ancho de la pared de afuera de las cámaras era de cinco codos, igual al espacio que quedaba de las cámaras de la casa por dentro. 10 Y entre las cámaras había anchura de veinte codos por todos lados alrededor de la casa. 11 La puerta de cada cámara salía al espacio que quedaba, una puerta hacia el norte, y otra puerta hacia el sur; y el ancho del espacio que quedaba era de cinco codos por todo alrededor.

12 Y el edificio que estaba delante del espacio abierto al lado del occidente era de setenta codos; y la pared del edificio, de cinco codos de grueso alrededor, y noventa codos de largo.

13 Luego midió la casa, cien codos de largo; y el espacio abierto y el edificio y sus paredes, de cien codos de longitud. 14 Y el ancho del frente de la casa y del espacio abierto al oriente era de cien codos.

15 Y midió la longitud del edificio que estaba delante del espacio abierto que había detrás de él, y las cámaras de uno y otro lado, cien codos; y el templo de dentro, y los portales del atrio. 16 Los umbrales y las ventanas estrechas y las cámaras alrededor de los tres pisos estaba todo cubierto de madera desde el suelo hasta las ventanas; y las ventanas también cubiertas. 17 Por encima de la puerta, y hasta la casa de adentro, y afuera de ella, y por toda la pared en derredor por dentro y por fuera, tomó medidas. 18 Y estaba labrada con querubines y palmeras, entre querubín y querubín una palmera; y cada querubín tenía dos rostros; 19 un rostro de hombre hacia la palmera de un lado, y un rostro de león hacia la palmera del otro lado, por toda la casa alrededor. 20 Desde el suelo hasta encima de la puerta había querubines labrados y palmeras, por toda la pared del templo.

21 Cada poste del templo era cuadrado, y el frente del santuario era como el otro frente. 22 La altura del altar de madera era de tres codos, y su longitud de dos codos; y sus esquinas, su superficie y sus paredes eran de madera. Y me dijo: Esta es la mesa que está delante de Jehová. 23 El templo y el santuario tenían dos puertas. 24 Y en cada puerta había dos hojas, dos hojas que giraban; dos hojas en una puerta, y otras dos en la otra. 25 En las puertas del templo había labrados de querubines y palmeras, así como los que había en las paredes; y en la fachada del atrio al exterior había un portal de madera. 26 Y había ventanas estrechas, y palmeras de uno y otro lado a los lados del pórtico; así eran las cámaras de la casa y los umbrales.

42 Me trajo luego al atrio exterior hacia el norte, y me llevó a la cámara que estaba delante del espacio abierto que quedaba enfrente del edificio, hacia el norte. 2 Por delante de la puerta del norte su longitud era de cien codos, y el ancho de cincuenta codos. 3 Frente a los veinte codos que había en el atrio interior, y enfrente del enlosado que había en el atrio exterior, estaban las cámaras, las unas enfrente de las otras en tres pisos. 4 Y delante de las cámaras había un corredor de diez codos de ancho hacia adentro, con una vía de un codo; y sus puertas daban al norte. 5 Y las cámaras más altas eran más estrechas; porque las galerías quitaban de ellas más que de las bajas y de las de en medio del edificio. 6 Porque estaban en tres pisos, y no tenían columnas como las columnas de los atrios; por tanto, eran más estrechas que las de abajo y las de en medio, desde el suelo. 7 Y el muro que estaba afuera enfrente de las cámaras, hacia el atrio exterior delante de las cámaras, tenía cincuenta codos de largo. 8 Porque la longitud de las cámaras del atrio de afuera era de cincuenta codos; y delante de la fachada del templo había cien codos. 9 Y debajo de las cámaras estaba la entrada al lado oriental, para entrar en él desde el atrio exterior.

10 A lo largo del muro del atrio, hacia el oriente, enfrente del espacio abierto, y delante del edificio, había cámaras. 11 Y el corredor que había delante de ellas era semejante al de las cámaras que estaban hacia el norte; tanto su longitud como su ancho eran lo mismo, y todas sus salidas, conforme a sus puertas y conforme a sus entradas. 12 Así también eran las puertas de las cámaras que estaban hacia el sur; había una puerta al comienzo del corredor que había enfrente del muro al lado oriental, para quien entraba en las cámaras.

13 Y me dijo: Las cámaras del norte y las del sur, que están delante del espacio abierto, son cámaras santas en las cuales los sacerdotes que se acercan a Jehová comerán las santas ofrendas; allí pondrán las ofrendas santas, la ofrenda y la expiación y el sacrificio por el pecado, porque el lugar es santo. 14 Cuando los sacerdotes entren, no saldrán del lugar santo al atrio exterior, sino que allí dejarán sus vestiduras con que ministran, porque son santas; y se vestirán otros vestidos, y así se acercarán a lo que es del pueblo.

15 Y luego que acabó las medidas de la casa de adentro, me sacó por el camino de la puerta que miraba hacia el oriente, y lo midió todo alrededor. 16 Midió el lado oriental con la caña de medir, quinientas cañas de la caña de medir alrededor. 17 Midió al lado del norte, quinientas cañas de la caña de medir alrededor. 18 Midió al lado del sur, quinientas cañas de la caña de medir. 19 Rodeó al lado del occidente, y midió quinientas cañas de la caña de medir. 20 A los cuatro lados lo midió; tenía un muro todo alrededor, de quinientas cañas de longitud y quinientas cañas de ancho, para hacer separación entre el santuario y el lugar profano.

La gloria de Jehová llena el templo

43 Me llevó luego a la puerta, a la puerta que mira hacia el oriente; 2 y he aquí la gloria del Dios de Israel, que venía del oriente;(A) y su sonido era como el sonido de muchas aguas, y la tierra resplandecía a causa de su gloria. 3 Y el aspecto de lo que vi era como una visión, como aquella visión que vi cuando vine para destruir la ciudad; y las visiones eran como la visión que vi junto al río Quebar; y me postré sobre mi rostro. 4 Y la gloria de Jehová entró en la casa por la vía de la puerta que daba al oriente. 5 Y me alzó el Espíritu y me llevó al atrio interior; y he aquí que la gloria de Jehová llenó la casa.

Leyes del templo

6 Y oí uno que me hablaba desde la casa; y un varón estaba junto a mí, 7 y me dijo: Hijo de hombre, este es el lugar de mi trono, el lugar donde posaré las plantas de mis pies, en el cual habitaré entre los hijos de Israel para siempre; y nunca más profanará la casa de Israel mi santo nombre, ni ellos ni sus reyes, con sus fornicaciones, ni con los cuerpos muertos de sus reyes en sus lugares altos. 8 Porque poniendo ellos su umbral junto a mi umbral, y su contrafuerte junto a mi contrafuerte, mediando solo una pared entre mí y ellos, han contaminado mi santo nombre con sus abominaciones que hicieron; por tanto, los consumí en mi furor. 9 Ahora arrojarán lejos de mí sus fornicaciones, y los cuerpos muertos de sus reyes, y habitaré en medio de ellos para siempre.

10 Tú, hijo de hombre, muestra a la casa de Israel esta casa, y avergüéncense de sus pecados; y midan el diseño de ella. 11 Y si se avergonzaren de todo lo que han hecho, hazles entender el diseño de la casa, su disposición, sus salidas y sus entradas, y todas sus formas, y todas sus descripciones, y todas sus configuraciones, y todas sus leyes; y descríbelo delante de sus ojos, para que guarden toda su forma y todas sus reglas, y las pongan por obra. 12 Esta es la ley de la casa: Sobre la cumbre del monte, el recinto entero, todo en derredor, será santísimo. He aquí que esta es la ley de la casa.

13 Estas son las medidas del altar por codos (el codo de a codo y palmo menor). La base, de un codo, y de un codo el ancho; y su remate por su borde alrededor, de un palmo. Este será el zócalo del altar. 14 Y desde la base, sobre el suelo, hasta el lugar de abajo, dos codos, y la anchura de un codo; y desde la cornisa menor hasta la cornisa mayor, cuatro codos, y el ancho de un codo. 15 El altar era de cuatro codos, y encima del altar había cuatro cuernos. 16 Y el altar tenía doce codos de largo, y doce de ancho, cuadrado a sus cuatro lados. 17 El descanso era de catorce codos de longitud y catorce de anchura en sus cuatro lados, y de medio codo el borde alrededor; y la base de un codo por todos lados; y sus gradas estaban al oriente.(B)

18 Y me dijo: Hijo de hombre, así ha dicho Jehová el Señor: Estas son las ordenanzas del altar el día en que sea hecho, para ofrecer holocausto sobre él y para esparcir sobre él sangre. 19 A los sacerdotes levitas que son del linaje de Sadoc, que se acerquen a mí, dice Jehová el Señor, para ministrar ante mí, darás un becerro de la vacada para expiación. 20 Y tomarás de su sangre, y pondrás en los cuatro cuernos del altar, y en las cuatro esquinas del descanso, y en el borde alrededor; así lo limpiarás y purificarás. 21 Tomarás luego el becerro de la expiación, y lo quemarás conforme a la ley de la casa, fuera del santuario. 22 Al segundo día ofrecerás un macho cabrío sin defecto, para expiación; y purificarán el altar como lo purificaron con el becerro. 23 Cuando acabes de expiar, ofrecerás un becerro de la vacada sin defecto, y un carnero sin tacha de la manada; 24 y los ofrecerás delante de Jehová, y los sacerdotes echarán sal sobre ellos, y los ofrecerán en holocausto a Jehová. 25 Por siete días sacrificarán un macho cabrío cada día en expiación; asimismo sacrificarán el becerro de la vacada y un carnero sin tacha del rebaño. 26 Por siete días harán expiación por el altar, y lo limpiarán, y así lo consagrarán. 27 Y acabados estos días, del octavo día en adelante, los sacerdotes sacrificarán sobre el altar vuestros holocaustos y vuestras ofrendas de paz; y me seréis aceptos, dice Jehová el Señor.(C)

38 A (A)chamber with its doorway was by the side pillars at the gates; there they (B)rinse the burnt offering. 39 And in the porch of the gate were two (C)tables on each side, on which to slaughter the (D)burnt offering, the sin offering, and the guilt offering. 40 On the outer [a]side, [b]as one went up to the [c]gateway toward the north, were two tables; and on the other [d]side of the porch of the gate were two tables. 41 Four (E)tables were on each side [e]next to the gate; eight tables on which they slaughter sacrifices. 42 For the burnt offering there were four (F)tables of (G)cut stone, a cubit and a half long, a cubit and a half wide, and one cubit high, on which they set the utensils with which they slaughter the (H)burnt offering and the sacrifice. 43 And the double [f]hooks, [g]one hand width in length, were installed [h]in the house all around; and on the tables was the flesh of the offering.

44 From the outside to the (I)inner gate were [i](J)chambers for the (K)singers in the inner courtyard, one of which was at the [j]side of the north gate, with [k]its front toward the south, and one at the [l]side of the [m]south gate facing north. 45 Then he said to me, “This is the (L)chamber which faces south, intended for the priests who [n]are (M)responsible for the [o]temple; 46 but the (N)chamber which faces north is for the priests who [p]are (O)responsible for the altar. They are the (P)sons of Zadok, who from the sons of Levi (Q)come near to the Lord to serve Him.” 47 He measured the courtyard, a perfect square, a (R)hundred cubits long and a hundred cubits wide; and the altar was in front of the [q]temple.

48 Then he brought me to the (S)porch of the [r]temple and measured each side pillar of the porch, five cubits on each side; and the width of the gate was three cubits on each side. 49 The length of the porch was twenty cubits, and the width eleven cubits; and at the (T)stairway by which it was ascended were (U)columns belonging to the side pillars, one on each side.

The Inner Temple

41 Then he (V)brought me to the (W)sanctuary, and he measured the (X)side pillars: six [s]cubits wide on each side was the width of the [t]side pillar. 2 The width of the entrance was ten cubits and the [u]sides of the entrance were five cubits on each side. He also measured [v]the length of the sanctuary, (Y)forty cubits, and the width, (Z)twenty cubits. 3 Then he went [w](AA)inside and measured each (AB)side pillar of the doorway, two cubits, and the doorway, six cubits high; and the width of the doorway, seven cubits. 4 And he measured its length, (AC)twenty cubits, and the width, twenty cubits, before the (AD)sanctuary; and he said to me, “This is the (AE)Most Holy Place.”

5 Then he measured the wall of the [x]temple, six cubits; and the width of the (AF)side chambers, four cubits, all around the house on every side. 6 (AG)The side chambers were in three stories, [y]one above another, and [z]thirty in each story; and [aa]the side chambers (AH)extended to the wall which stood on [ab]their inward side all around, so that they could be attached, but not be attached to the wall of the temple itself. 7 And the side chambers surrounding the temple were wider at each successive story. Because the (AI)structure surrounding the temple went upward by stages on all sides of the temple, for that reason the width of the temple increased as it went higher; and so one went up from the lowest story to the highest by way of the [ac]second story. 8 I saw also that the house had a raised [ad]platform all around; the foundations of the side chambers were a full [ae]rod of (AJ)six [af]long cubits in height. 9 The [ag]thickness of the outer wall of the side chambers was five cubits. But the (AK)free space between the side chambers belonging to the temple 10 and the outer (AL)chambers was twenty cubits in width around the temple on every side. 11 The [ah]doorways of the side [ai]chambers toward the (AM)free space consisted of one doorway toward the north, and another doorway toward the south; and the width of the (AN)free space was five cubits all around.

12 The (AO)building that was in front of the (AP)separate area at the side toward the west was seventy cubits wide; and the wall of the building was five cubits [aj]thick all around, and its length was ninety cubits.

13 Then he measured the temple, a (AQ)hundred cubits long; the (AR)separate area with the (AS)building and its walls were also a (AT)hundred cubits long. 14 Also the width of the front of the temple and that of the separate [ak]areas along the east side totaled a hundred cubits.

15 And he measured the length of the (AU)building [al]along the front of the (AV)separate area behind it, with a [am](AW)gallery on each side, a hundred cubits; he also measured the inner sanctuary and the porches of the courtyard. 16 The (AX)thresholds, the [an](AY)latticed windows, and the [ao](AZ)galleries all around their (BA)three stories, opposite the threshold, were (BB)paneled with wood all around, and from the ground to the windows (but the windows were covered), 17 over the entrance, and to the inner house, and on the outside, and on all the wall all around inside and outside, by measurement. 18 It was [ap]carved with (BC)cherubim and (BD)palm trees; and a palm tree was between cherub and cherub, and every cherub had two faces: 19 a (BE)human face toward the palm tree on one side and a young (BF)lion’s face toward the palm tree on the other side; they were [aq]carved on all the house all around. 20 From the ground to above the entrance (BG)cherubim and (BH)palm trees were [ar]carved, as well as on the wall of the sanctuary.

21 The (BI)doorposts of the (BJ)sanctuary were square; as for the front of the inner [as]sanctuary, the appearance of one doorpost was like that of the other. 22 The (BK)altar was of wood, three cubits high, and its length two cubits; its corners, its [at]base, and its [au]sides were of wood. And he said to me, “This is the (BL)table that is before the Lord.” 23 The (BM)sanctuary and the inner [av](BN)sanctuary each had a double (BO)door. 24 Each of the doors had two leaves, two [aw](BP)swinging leaves; two leaves for one door and two leaves for the other. 25 Also there were [ax]carved on them, on the doors of the main room, (BQ)cherubim and (BR)palm trees like those [ay]carved on the walls; and there was a [az](BS)threshold of wood on the front of the porch outside. 26 And there were [ba](BT)latticed windows and (BU)palm trees on one side and on the other, on the sides of the (BV)porch; the same were on the (BW)side chambers of the house and the [bb]thresholds.

Chambers of the Temple

42 Then he (BX)brought me out into the (BY)outer courtyard, the way (BZ)toward the north; and he brought me to the (CA)chamber which was opposite the (CB)separate area and opposite the (CC)building toward the north. 2 Along the length, which was a (CD)hundred [bc]cubits, was the north door; the width was fifty cubits. 3 Opposite the (CE)twenty cubits which belonged to the inner courtyard, and opposite the (CF)stone pavement which belonged to the outer courtyard, was [bd](CG)gallery corresponding to [be]gallery in three stories. 4 In front of the (CH)chambers was an inner passage ten cubits wide, a way of one hundred cubits; and their openings were on the north. 5 Now the upper chambers were [bf]smaller because the [bg](CI)galleries took more space away from them than from the lower and middle ones in the building. 6 For they were in (CJ)three stories and had no pillars like the pillars of the courtyards; for that reason the upper chambers were [bh]set back from the ground upward, more than the lower and middle ones. 7 As for the (CK)outer wall by the side of the chambers, toward the outer courtyard facing the chambers, its length was fifty cubits. 8 For the length of the chambers which were in the outer courtyard was fifty cubits; and behold, the length of those facing the main room was a (CL)hundred cubits. 9 And below these chambers was the (CM)entrance on the east side, as one enters them from the outer courtyard.

10 In the [bi]thickness of the (CN)wall of the courtyard toward the east, facing the (CO)separate area and facing the building, there were (CP)chambers. 11 And the (CQ)way in front of them was like the appearance of the chambers which were on the north; according to their length, so was their width, and all their exits were according to their building plans and openings. 12 Corresponding to the openings of the chambers which were toward the south was an opening at the head of the way, the way in front of the (CR)wall toward the east, as one enters them.

13 Then he said to me, “The north chambers and the south chambers, which are opposite the (CS)separate area, they are the (CT)holy chambers where the priests who are (CU)near to the Lord shall eat the (CV)most holy things. There they shall set the most holy things, the grain offering, the sin offering, and the guilt offering; for the place is holy. 14 When the priests enter, they shall not go out into the outer courtyard from the sanctuary [bj]without (CW)laying their (CX)garments there in which they minister, for they are holy. They shall put on other garments; then they shall approach that which is for the people.”

15 Now when he had finished measuring the inner house, he brought me out by way of the (CY)gate which faced east, and measured it all around. 16 He measured on the east side with the measuring [bk]rod: five hundred rods by the (CZ)measuring rod. 17 He measured on the north side: five hundred rods by the measuring rod. 18 On the south side he measured five hundred rods with the measuring rod. 19 He turned to the west side and measured five hundred rods with the measuring rod. 20 He measured it [bl]on the four sides; it had a (DA)wall all around, the (DB)length five hundred rods and the (DC)width five hundred, to (DD)divide between the holy and the [bm]common.

Vision of the Glory of God Filling the Temple

43 Then he led me to the (DE)gate, the gate facing east; 2 and behold, the (DF)glory of the God of Israel was coming from the way of the (DG)east. And His (DH)voice was like the sound of many waters; and the earth (DI)shone from His glory. 3 And it was like the appearance of the vision which I saw, like the (DJ)vision which I saw when [bn]He came to (DK)destroy the city. And the visions were like the vision which I saw by the (DL)river Chebar; and I (DM)fell on my face. 4 And the glory of the Lord entered the house by way of the gate facing (DN)east. 5 And the (DO)Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner courtyard; and behold, the (DP)glory of the Lord filled the house.

6 Then I heard Him speaking to me from the house, while a (DQ)man was standing beside me. 7 And He said to me, “Son of man, this is the place of My (DR)throne and the place of the soles of My feet, where I will (DS)dwell among the sons of Israel forever. And the house of Israel will not again defile My holy name, neither they nor their kings, by their prostitution and by the [bo](DT)corpses of their kings [bp]when they die, 8 by putting their threshold by My threshold, and their door post beside My door post, with only the wall between Me and them. And they have (DU)defiled My holy name by their abominations which they have committed. So I have consumed them in My anger. 9 Now let them (DV)remove their prostitution and the [bq]corpses of their kings far from Me, and I will (DW)dwell among them forever.

10 “As for you, son of man, (DX)inform the house of Israel of the [br]temple, so that they will be (DY)ashamed of their wrongdoings; and have them measure the [bs](DZ)plan. 11 And if they are ashamed of everything that they have done, make known to them the plan of the house, its layout, its (EA)exits, its entrances, all its plans, all its [bt]statutes, and all its laws. And write it (EB)in their sight, so that they may observe its entire plan and all its statutes and (EC)execute them. 12 This is the [bu]law of the house: its entire [bv]area on the top of the (ED)mountain all around shall be most holy. Behold, this is the [bw]law of the house.

The Altar of Sacrifice

13 “And these are the measurements of the (EE)altar by cubits (the (EF)cubit being a [bx]cubit and a hand width): the [by]base shall be a cubit and the width a cubit, and its border on its edge all around one span; and this shall be the height of the [bz]base of the altar. 14 And from the base on the ground to the lower (EG)ledge shall be two cubits, and the width one cubit; and from the smaller ledge to the larger ledge shall be four cubits, and the width [ca]one cubit. 15 The [cb]altar hearth shall be four cubits; and from the [cc]altar hearth shall extend upward four (EH)horns. 16 Now the [cd]altar hearth shall be twelve cubits long by twelve wide, (EI)square in its four sides. 17 And the ledge shall be fourteen cubits long by fourteen wide in its four sides, the border around it shall be half a cubit, and its base shall be a cubit all around; and its (EJ)steps shall [ce](EK)face east.”

The Offerings

18 And He said to me, “(EL)Son of man, this is what the Lord [cf]God says: ‘These are the statutes for the altar on the day it is built, to offer (EM)burnt offerings on it and to (EN)sprinkle blood on it. 19 You shall give to the Levitical priests who are from the descendants of (EO)Zadok, who come (EP)near to Me to serve Me,’ declares the Lord God, ‘a [cg](EQ)bull as a (ER)sin offering. 20 And you shall take some of its blood and put it on its four (ES)horns and on the four corners of the (ET)ledge, and on the border all around; so you shall (EU)cleanse it and make atonement for it. 21 You shall also take the bull as the sin offering, and it shall be (EV)burned in the appointed place of the house, outside the sanctuary.

22 ‘And on the second day you shall offer a (EW)male goat without blemish as a sin offering, and they shall (EX)cleanse the altar from sin as they cleansed it with the bull. 23 When you have finished cleansing it, you shall offer a [ch](EY)bull without blemish and a (EZ)ram without blemish from the flock. 24 You shall offer them before the Lord, and the priests shall throw (FA)salt on them, and they shall offer them up as a burnt offering to the Lord. 25 (FB)For seven days you shall prepare a goat as a sin offering daily; also a [ci]bull and a ram from the flock, both without blemish, shall be prepared. 26 For seven days they shall make atonement for the altar and purify it; so shall they [cj]consecrate it. 27 When they have completed the days, it shall be that on the (FC)eighth day and onward, the priests shall [ck]offer your burnt offerings on the altar, and your (FD)peace offerings; and I will (FE)accept you,’ declares the Lord God.”
