¹² A third of your people will die by plague and be consumed by famine within you;^(A) a third will fall by the sword all around you; and I will scatter a third to every direction of the wind, and I will draw a sword to chase after them.^(B)

²² I will execute judgment on him with plague and bloodshed. I will pour out torrential rain, hailstones, fire, and burning sulfur on him, as well as his troops and the many peoples who are with him.^(A)

The Coming of the Son of Man

²⁵ “Then there will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars; ^(A) and there will be anguish on the earth among nations bewildered by the roaring of the sea and the waves.^{(B) 26} People will faint from fear and expectation of the things that are coming on the world, because the powers of the heavens will be shaken.^(C)

¹⁵ So the four angels who were prepared for the hour, day, month, and year^(A) were released to kill a third^(B) of the human race.

¹⁸ A third of the human race was killed by these three plagues—by the fire, the smoke, and the sulfur that came from their mouths.

⁴ Its tail swept away a third of the stars in heaven and hurled them to the earth.^(A) And the dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she did give birth it might devour her child.^(B)
