18 And he said to me, (A)“Son of man, thus says the Lord God: These are the ordinances for the altar: On the day when it is erected for offering burnt offerings upon it and (B)for throwing blood against it, 19 you shall give to (C)the Levitical priests (D)of the family of Zadok, who draw near to me to minister to me, declares the Lord God, (E)a bull from the herd for a sin offering. 20 And (F)you shall take some of its blood and put it on (G)the four horns of the altar and on the four corners of the ledge and upon (H)the rim all around. (I)Thus you shall purify the altar and make atonement for it.

18 Then he said to me, “Son of man, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: These will be the regulations for sacrificing burnt offerings(A) and splashing blood(B) against the altar when it is built: 19 You are to give a young bull(C) as a sin offering[a] to the Levitical priests of the family of Zadok,(D) who come near(E) to minister before me, declares the Sovereign Lord. 20 You are to take some of its blood and put it on the four horns of the altar(F) and on the four corners of the upper ledge(G) and all around the rim, and so purify the altar(H) and make atonement for it.
