New International Version

4 For everyone belongs to me, the parent as well as the child—both alike belong to me. The one who sins(A) is the one who will die.(B)

5 “Suppose there is a righteous man
    who does what is just and right.
6 He does not eat at the mountain(C) shrines
    or look to the idols(D) of Israel.
He does not defile his neighbor’s wife
    or have sexual relations with a woman during her period.(E)

4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

5 But if a man be just, and do that which is lawful and right,

6 And hath not eaten upon the mountains, neither hath lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, neither hath defiled his neighbour's wife, neither hath come near to a menstruous woman,
