The Sign of the Sabbath

¹² Now the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, ¹³ “Now as for you, speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘^(A)You must keep My Sabbaths; for this is ^(B)a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, so that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you. ¹⁴ Therefore you are to keep the Sabbath, for it is holy to you. ^(C)Everyone who profanes it must be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people.

^6 (A)These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. ⁷ And ^(B)you shall repeat them diligently to your sons and speak of them when you sit in your house, when you walk on the road, when you lie down, and when you get up. ^8 (C)You shall also tie them as a ^[a]sign to your ^[b]hand, and they shall be as ^[c]frontlets ^[d]on your forehead.

¹⁸ “^(A)You shall therefore take these words of mine to ^[a]heart and to soul; and you shall tie them as a sign on your ^[b]hand, and they shall be as ^[c]frontlets ^[d]on your forehead.

² So the first angel went and poured out his bowl ^(A)on the earth; and a harmful and painful ^(B)sore ^[a]afflicted the people ^(C)who had the mark of the beast and who worshiped his image.

Doom of the Beast and False Prophet

²⁰ And the beast was seized, and with him the ^(A)false prophet who ^(B)performed the signs ^[a](C)in his presence, by which he ^(D)deceived those who had received the ^(E)mark of the beast and those who ^(F)worshiped his image; these two were thrown alive into the ^(G)lake of ^(H)fire, which burns with ^[b]brimstone.
