4 When the Lord saw that he had turned aside to see, God called to him out of the bush, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.” 5 Then he said, “Come no closer! Remove the sandals from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.”(A) 6 He said further, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God.(B)

4 When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called(A) to him from within the bush,(B) “Moses! Moses!”
And Moses said, “Here I am.”(C)
5 “Do not come any closer,”(D) God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.”(E) 6 Then he said, “I am the God of your father,[a] the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.”(F) At this, Moses hid(G) his face, because he was afraid to look at God.(H)
