22 “When a man steals an ox or a sheep and butchers it or sells it, he must repay^(A) five cattle for the ox or four sheep for the sheep.

⁵ or anything else about which he swore falsely. He will make full restitution for it and add a fifth of its value to it.^(A) He is to pay it to its owner on the day he acknowledges his guilt.^(B)

⁷ The person is to confess^(A) the sin he has committed. He is to pay full compensation, add a fifth of its value to it, and give it to the individual he has wronged.^(B)

⁶ Because he has done this thing and shown no pity, he must pay four lambs for that lamb.”^(A)
