²³ And ^(A)Yahweh will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and He will see the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, and Yahweh will pass over the doorway and will ^(B)not allow the ^(C)destroyer to come into your houses to smite you.

^16 (A)Then the angel sent forth his hand toward Jerusalem to destroy it, and ^(B)Yahweh ^[a]relented of the calamity and said to the angel who destroyed the people, “It is enough! Now relax your hand!” And the angel of Yahweh was by the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.

¹⁵ And God sent an angel to Jerusalem to destroy it; but as he was about to destroy it, Yahweh saw and ^[a](A)relented concerning the calamity, and said to the destroying angel, “It is enough! Now relax your hand.” And the angel of Yahweh was standing by the threshing floor of ^[b]Ornan the Jebusite.

²⁸ By faith he ^[a](A)kept the Passover and the sprinkling of the blood, so that ^(B)he who destroyed the firstborn would not touch them.
