² and that ^(A)you may tell in the hearing of your son and your son’s son the mighty things I have done in Egypt, and My signs which I have done among them, that you may ^(B)know that I am the Lord.”

^26 (A)And it shall be, when your children say to you, ‘What do you mean by this service?’

²⁷ that you shall say, ^(A)‘It is the Passover sacrifice of the Lord, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt when He struck the Egyptians and delivered our households.’ ” So the people ^(B)bowed their heads and worshiped.

⁸ And you shall ^(A)tell your son in that day, saying, ‘This is done because of what the Lord did for me when I came up from Egypt.’

^20 (A)“When your son asks you in time to come, saying, ‘What is the meaning of the testimonies, the statutes, and the judgments which the Lord our God has commanded you?’

⁶ that this may be ^(A)a sign among you ^(B)when your children ask in time to come, saying, ‘What do these stones mean to you?’

²¹ Then he spoke to the children of Israel, saying: ^(A)“When your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, ‘What are these stones?’
