²⁹ But the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground,^(A) with a wall^(B) of water on their right and on their left. ³⁰ That day the Lord saved^(C) Israel from the hands of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians lying dead on the shore. ³¹ And when the Israelites saw the mighty hand^(D) of the Lord displayed against the Egyptians, the people feared^(E) the Lord and put their trust^(F) in him and in Moses his servant.

²³ For the Lord your God dried up the Jordan before you until you had crossed over. The Lord your God did to the Jordan what he had done to the Red Sea^[a] when he dried it up before us until we had crossed over.^{(A) 24} He did this so that all the peoples of the earth might know^(B) that the hand of the Lord is powerful^(C) and so that you might always fear the Lord your God.^(D)”

²⁴ But be sure to fear^(A) the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart;^(B) consider^(C) what great^(D) things he has done for you.
