Las tres fiestas anuales
(Ex. 34.18-26; Dt. 16.1-17)
14 Tres veces en el año me celebraréis fiesta. 15 La fiesta de los panes sin levadura guardarás.(A) Siete días comerás los panes sin levadura, como yo te mandé, en el tiempo del mes de Abib, porque en él saliste de Egipto; y ninguno se presentará delante de mí con las manos vacías. 16 También la fiesta de la siega, los primeros frutos de tus labores,(B) que hubieres sembrado en el campo, y la fiesta de la cosecha a la salida del año, cuando hayas recogido los frutos de tus labores del campo.(C) 17 Tres veces en el año se presentará todo varón delante de Jehová el Señor.
18 No ofrecerás con pan leudo la sangre de mi sacrificio, ni la grosura de mi víctima quedará de la noche hasta la mañana.
19 Las primicias de los primeros frutos de tu tierra traerás a la casa de Jehová tu Dios.(D) No guisarás el cabrito en la leche de su madre.(E)

14 (A)Tres veces al año me celebraréis fiesta. 15 Guardarás la fiesta de los panes sin levadura. Siete días comerás pan sin levadura(B), como yo te mandé, en el tiempo señalado del mes de Abib(C), pues en él saliste de Egipto. Y nadie se presentará[a] ante mí con las manos vacías(D). 16 También guardarás la fiesta de la siega de los primeros frutos de tus labores, de lo que siembres en el campo(E); y la fiesta de la cosecha al fin del año cuando recojas del campo el fruto(F) de tu trabajo. 17 Tres veces al año se presentarán todos tus varones delante del Señor Dios[b](G).
18 No ofrecerás la sangre de mi sacrificio con pan leudado(H); ni la grosura de mi fiesta quedará hasta la mañana(I). 19 Traerás lo mejor de las primicias de tu tierra a la casa del Señor tu Dios(J). No cocerás el cabrito en la leche de su madre(K).

14 (B)“Three times you shall keep a feast to Me in the year: 15 (C)You shall keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread (you shall eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the month of Abib, for in it you came out of Egypt; (D)none shall appear before Me empty); 16 (E)and the Feast of Harvest, the firstfruits of your labors which you have sown in the field; and (F)the Feast of Ingathering at the end of the year, when you have gathered in the fruit of your labors from the field.
17 (G)“Three times in the year all your males shall appear before the Lord [a]God.
18 (H)“You shall not offer the blood of My sacrifice with leavened (I)bread; nor shall the fat of My [b]sacrifice remain until morning. 19 (J)The first of the firstfruits of your land you shall bring into the house of the Lord your God. (K)You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.

Three National Feasts
14 “Three times a year you shall celebrate a feast [dedicated] to Me. 15 You shall observe the Feast of Unleavened Bread; for seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the appointed time in the month of Abib, for in it you came out of Egypt. No one shall appear before Me empty-handed [but you shall bring sacrificial offerings]. 16 Also [you shall observe] the Feast of Harvest (Weeks, Pentecost, or First Fruits), acknowledging the first fruits of your labor, of what you sow in the field. And [third] the Feast of Ingathering (Booths or Tabernacles) at the end of the year when you gather in [the fruit of] your labors from the field. 17 Three times a year all your males shall appear before the [a]Lord God.
18 “You shall not offer the blood of My sacrifice with [b]leavened bread; and the fat of My feast is not to be left overnight until morning.
19 “You shall bring the choice first fruits of your ground into the house of the Lord your God.
“You shall not [c]boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.

- Exodus 23:17 “Lord” with only an initial capital is Heb Adonai (Master); “God” (all caps) represents YHWH (Yahweh) and is usually rendered “Lord” (all caps).
- Exodus 23:18 Because leaven is a kind of fungus, it became a symbol of corruption and sin. But in some contexts it had positive connotations (e.g. Lev 23:17; Matt 13:33).
- Exodus 23:19 This may have been a pagan practice, perhaps a fertility rite.
