²⁴ Do not bow down before their gods or worship^(A) them or follow their practices.^(B) You must demolish^(C) them and break their sacred stones^(D) to pieces. ²⁵ Worship the Lord your God,^(E) and his blessing^(F) will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness^(G) from among you,

¹³ Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones and cut down their Asherah poles.^{[a](A) 14} Do not worship any other god,^(B) for the Lord, whose name^(C) is Jealous, is a jealous God.^(D)
