⁷ And Jehovah said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people that are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;

¹² And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people. ¹³ I am Jehovah your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bars of your yoke, and made you go upright.

¹⁵ Now Jehovah had ^[a]revealed unto Samuel a day before Saul came, saying, ¹⁶ To-morrow about this time I will send thee a man out of the land of Benjamin, and thou shalt anoint him to be ^[b]prince over my people Israel; and he shall save my people out of the hand of the Philistines: for I have looked upon my people, because their cry is come unto me.

⁸ Now therefore thus shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, I took thee from the ^[a]sheepcote, from following the sheep, that thou shouldest be ^[b]prince over my people, over Israel;

⁷ Go, tell Jeroboam, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel: Forasmuch as I exalted thee from among the people, and made thee ^[a]prince over my people Israel,

⁵ Turn back, and say to Hezekiah the ^[a]prince of my people, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee; on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of Jehovah.
